Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NOCCI) Officers led by President Edward Du, together with NOCCI Executive Director John Jalandoni took part in the two-day Tamlang Valley Management Council (TVMC) Project Identification Workshop held at Dumaguete Royal Suites Inn, Dumaguete City.
During the said activity, the TVMC, spearheaded by its Chair, Governor Manuel Sagarbarria, identified and consolidated all priority programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) for the Tamlang Valley Sustainable Agriculture for Growth and Resiliency (TVSAGR) Project. The identified PPAs will be included in each member agency’s budget proposal for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025. The council also asked the member agencies on the status of their PPAs for TVSAGR Project for present fiscal year.
National government agencies present were Department of Agriculture-7, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-7, Department of Public Works and Highways-7, National Irrigation Administration-7, Philippine Coconut Authority-7, Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority, Department of Social Welfare and Development-7, National Economic and Development Authority-7, Department of Science and Technology-7-Negros Oriental PSTO, Philippine Information Agency, and provincial government agencies- Provincial Veterinary Office, Provincial Engineering Office, and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.
NOCCI’s sister chamber and investment promotion partner in the Negros island, the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI), represented by its President and AI-TEC Chairman, Mr. Roberto Montelibano, accompanied by AI-TEC Executive Director, Dr. Jose Rene Gayo, was also present in the said workshop.

During the workshop, member agencies of the TVMC, including national and provincial government bodies, provided updates on the status of their ongoing PPAs related to the TVSAGR Project for the current fiscal year. Representatives from various agencies, such as the Department of Agriculture, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and Department of Science and Technology, among others, shared insights and collaborated to enhance project planning and implementation.
NOCCI’s active participation in the workshop reflects its commitment to supporting initiatives that drive agricultural growth and economic resilience in Negros Oriental. As a key stakeholder in the region’s business community, NOCCI leveraged its expertise and resources to contribute meaningfully to the project planning process.
