Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NOCCI) Executive Director John Jalandoni had a meeting with Negros Oriental Governor Manuel Sagarbarria, together with Provincial Administrator Arthur Fran Tolcidas, Provincial Economist/Consultant Efren Carreon, and Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Ingo Ash Julian Mercado at the Governor’s Office, Provincial Capitol, Dumaguete City.
The meeting was intended to formulate and discuss various action plans as way forward to the realization of the province’s flagship agricultural project- the Tamlang Valley Sustainable Agriculture for Growth and Resiliency (TVSAGR) Project. The meeting was part of NOCCI’s continued initiatives towards the realization of the TVSAGR Project.
The project, which has been initiated by NOCCI, aims to develop the Tamlang Valley as the “Food Basket” of the Visayas by establishing an agro-industrial zone that will ensure long-term growth, enhance resilience against climate risks, create job opportunities, improve livelihoods, promote food security and sufficiency, and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the province of Negros Oriental.
