In relation to the Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (NOCCI’s) push for the institutionalization of the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (LEDIPO) in the province of Negros Oriental, NOCCI Executive Director John Jalandoni had a meeting with Negros Oriental Board Member and Committee on Ways and Means Chair Jessica Jane Villanueva, together with Board Member Julius Sabac, to discuss the mandates and functions of the LEDIPO as stipulated in the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular No. 2020 – 167.
NOCCI initiated and lobbied for the creation of LEDIPO in the province of Negros Oriental in adherence to the DILG MC 2020-167, which primarily aims to address economic problems and create better conditions for investment and business opportunities leading to a long-term economic growth and development in the locality.
