Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NOCCI) President Edward Du, together with NOCCI member and MSMED Committee Chair Angelica Delgado, member Joemer Delgado, and Climate Change Committee Chair Luisito Ramilo, attended the 33rd Visayas Area Business Conference (VABC) held at Iloilo Convention Center, Iloilo City.
President Du was the Resource Speaker for the Visayas Development Workshop Plenary Session 2. He tackled about the topic, “Best Practices of Visayas LCCIs.”
Furthermore, President Du expressed his gratitude to the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Visayas, led by Area Vice President Melanie Ng, Region 6 Governor Atty. Jobert Penaflorida, Region 7 Governor Engr. Albert Uy, and Region 8 Governor Stephanie Diane Chu, for the PCCI Manifesto of Support to the newly-created Negros Island Region (NIR) given to NOCCI, MBCCI, and Siquijor CCI during the 33rd VABC.

Leading the NOCCI delegation was President Edward Du, accompanied by key members Angelica Delgado, MSMED Committee Chair; Joemer Delgado; and Luisito Ramilo, Climate Change Committee Chair. President Edward Du was a featured Resource Speaker during the Visayas Development Workshop Plenary Session 2, where he addressed the topic, “Best Practices of Visayas LCCIs” (Local Chambers of Commerce and Industry). During the 33rd VABC, PCCI Visayas, led by Area Vice President Melanie Ng, Region 6 Governor Atty. Jobert Penaflorida, Region 7 Governor Engr. Albert Uy, and Region 8 Governor Stephanie Diane Chu, presented a Manifesto of Support for the NIR to NOCCI, the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI), and the Siquijor Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
This Manifesto of Support is a significant milestone for the newly-formed NIR, as it represents a collective endorsement from the regional business community. The NIR, which encompasses the provinces of Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, and Siquijor, is poised to become a critical driver of economic growth in the Visayas.
