The Securites and Exchange Commission (SEC)-Bacolod Extension Office top executives, led by Atty. Annabelle Corral-Respall, Director II, paid a courtesy visit at the Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NOCCI) Office in Dumaguete City. NOCCI President Edward Du, together with NOCCI Executive Director John Jalandoni and Negros Oriental Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDC) Engr. Ingo Ash Julian Mercado, warmly welcomed the SEC Bacolod team at the NOCCI Office.
During the said meeting, SEC-Bacolod Director Respall presented the agency’s initial plans and initiatives to expand the SEC’s accessibility to the local government units (LGUs) and business owners operating in the entire Negros island.SEC-Bacolod also expressed its intention to establish partnership with NOCCI in three major aspects: (1) strengthening the campaign on investor protection and aiding inflow of investments into the market; (2) enforcing policies against fraudulent corporations engaged in illegal activities; and (3) monitoring the compliance of registered corporations with the SEC reportorial requirements.
NOCCI President Du welcomed and expressed full support to the initial plans laid out by SEC as NOCCI has been also pushing for these initiatives in the local level. President Du also expressed NOCCI’s appreciation to SEC-Bacolod for partnering with NOCCI in implementing its services and initiatives towards championing investments in the entire Negros island.
