NOCCI’s Mt. Talinis Dark Chocolate OTOP Project Advances with LATAP Collaboration

The Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NOCCI) Save Mt. Talinis Project is gaining significant traction with its recent collaboration with the LATAP Cacao Farmers Association. Led by NOCCI President Edward Du and Engr. Wilfredo Algopera, the project team convened with the LATAP Farmers Association in the Municipality of Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental, to discuss mutual support for NOCCI’s Mt. Talinis Dark Chocolate OTOP Project.

The meeting, hosted at the LATAP Farmers Association Center, saw a warm reception from LATAP Farmers Association Chairman Rems Cafino and his fellow officers and members. The association expressed unanimous agreement to collaborate with NOCCI, underscoring their commitment to supporting, sustaining, and promoting the Mt. Talinis Dark Chocolate OTOP Project.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in the efforts to bolster the local economy and preserve the ecological integrity of Mt. Talinis. President  Du,   expressed his gratitude for the enthusiastic reception from the LATAP Farmers Association, emphasizing the shared vision of promoting responsible business practices and environmental conservation. “This collaboration is a testament to the power of partnership in driving positive change,” he remarked.

Engr. Wilfredo Algopera, a key figure in NOCCI’s Save Mt.
