The officers of the Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NOCCI), led by President Edward Du, together with the officers of its sister chamber- Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI), led by President Roberto Montelibano, had a meeting with Negros Oriental Governor Manuel Sagarbarria on potential agro-industrial investment opportunities and socio-economic projects for Tamlang Valley. During the meeting, three main possible projects were discussed specifically: (1) Bamboo Farming and Processing Project; (2) Agri-tech and Agri-business Institute; and (3) Scholarship Program for farmers and agriculture students.
Also present during the meeting were Agro-Industrial Technology and Enterprise Center (AI TEC) Executive Director Dr. Jose Rene Gayo, Sta. Catalina Municipal Mayor Peve Obaniana Ligan, Negros Oriental Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Ingo Ash Julian Mercado, and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources (PENR) Officer Viernov Grefalde.
