The Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NOCCI) FreeWiFi Project Committee, led by NOCCI President Edward Du, together with NOCCI FreeWiFi Project partner Energy Development Corporation (EDC), represented by its CSR Head for Negros Oriental Facility Ms. Norreen Bautista, had a meeting with Negros Oriental Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) Engr. Viernov D. Grefalde on NOCCI FreeWiFi Project in one of the province’s tourism sites, the Twin Lakes of Balinsasayao.
Prior to the said meeting, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)-Negros Oriental, EDC-Negros Oriental, and NOCCI already expressed their full support and commitment for the upcoming FreeWiFi Project in Balinsasayao through a Contract Signing which was held at NOCCI Office on September 1, 2023.
In a concerted effort to enhance digital connectivity at one of Negros Oriental’s prime tourism sites, the Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NOCCI) FreeWiFi Project Committee, under the leadership of President Edward Du, recently engaged in a crucial meeting. This collaborative session, attended by NOCCI FreeWiFi Project partner Energy Development Corporation (EDC), represented by its CSR Head for Negros Oriental Facility, Ms. Norreen Bautista, aimed at advancing the FreeWiFi Project at the captivating Twin Lakes of Balinsasayao.
Prior to this meeting, key stakeholders, including the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)-Negros Oriental, EDC-Negros Oriental, and NOCCI, had already demonstrated their unwavering support and commitment to the forthcoming FreeWiFi Project. The culmination of this collective commitment was marked by a Contract Signing ceremony held at the NOCCI Office on September 1, 2023.
The subsequent meeting with Negros Oriental Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO), Engr. Viernov D. Grefalde, emphasized the collaborative nature of the project. The engagement sought to align the FreeWiFi Project with environmental considerations and regulatory guidelines, ensuring a harmonious integration with the scenic beauty of Balinsasayao Twin Lakes.
