As the lead private sector proponent of the Tamlang Valley Sustainable Agriculture for Growth and Resiliency (TVSAGR) Project in the province of Negros Oriental, Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NOCCI) President Edward Du, together with NOCCI Executive Director John Jalandoni, actively participated in the 1st Full Council Meeting of the Tamlang Valley Management Full Council (TVMC) held at Bethel Guest House, Dumaguete City. The meeting was presided by Negros Oriental Governor and TVMC Chairman Manuel “Chaco” Sagarbarria. NOCCI is the lead private sector member of the TVMC.

During the meeting, NOCCI President Edward Du presented to the TVMC Full Council the composition, mandates and functions of the council as stipulated in Executive Order No. 43 Series of 2023 signed by Governor Sagarbarria, Creating the Tamlang Valley Management Council (TVMC) and Project Management Office (PMO) for the Tamlang Valley Sustainable Agriculture for Growth and Resiliency Project (TV-SAGRP). NOCCI Executive Director Jalandoni also presented the TVMC Programs and Projects for 2023-2026 as well as updates on the TVSAGR Project.

Negros Oriental District Representatives Hon. Jocelyn Limkaichong of the 1st District, Hon. Manuel “Chiquiting” Sagarbarria of the 2nd District, and Hon. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Caretaker of the 3rd District, represented by Atty. Felipe Claudio Remollo (Chief Political Affairs Officer of Speaker Martin G. Romualdez of the House of Representatives), were present during the said meeting. National government agencies (NGAs) who are members of the TVMC also attended the TVMC Full Council Meeting such as the Department of Agriculture-Region VII, Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Region VII, Department of Public Works and Highways-VII, Philippine Coconut Authority-VII, National Irrigation Administration-VII, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-VII, Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority-VII, National Economic and Development Authority-VII, Department of Trade and Industry-VII, Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Reconciliation and Unity-Region VII, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples-Region VII, Department of Social Welfare and Development-VII, Department of the Interior and Local Government-VII, Department of Budget and Management, and the Department of Science and Technology-VII.
