The Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NOCCI) took another significant step towards creating a stronger and promising alliance with international partners abroad through a meeting among NOCCI Executive Director John Jalandoni, NOCCI International Affairs Coordinator Ana Marie Villanueva, the officers and the Board of Trustees of Alameda Sister City Association (ASCA), and the local city officials of Alameda, California, USA.<\/p>\n

In the said meeting, Executive Director Jalandoni presented NOCCI\u2019s various advocacy programs intended to promote international business and trade through the Sister City Program and Sister Chamber cooperation and alliances.Led by Cynthia Bonta, the Founding President of ASCA, together with Alameda City Vice-Mayor Tony Daysog (the first Filipino Vice-Mayor of Alameda City), the ASCA and Alameda City government both expressed full support for the renewal of the Alameda City and Dumaguete City Sisterhood through NOCCI\u2019s initiative.<\/p>\n

Also present during the meeting were Mr. Lee Guio, Board of Director of Sister Cities International, Dr. Araceli DeGuzman, the President of the Philippine Medical Society of Northern California, as well as Star Hurley and Brenda Brumfield, representatives from Sister Cities International. Other esteemed participants included Stewart Chen and Leslie Neilsen, Lifetime ASCA Members, Lois Butler, City Economic and Investment Promotion Manager, Sarah Henry, City Public Information Officer, ASCA Board of Directors, and Sister City Committee Chairs and Members of the Alameda-Dumaguete City Committee.<\/p>\n
